The Channel Filter

The Channel Filter is the easiest way to use Sandcastles to analyze a single creator or channel. 

Simply search for any channel handle across Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. If we have them in the Sandcastles database, their username will autopopulate. If we don’t, import them using the “Submit new channel” button in the Channels tab, and then search for them in the Channel Filter.

Using the Channel Filter gives you the quickest path to finding the best performing videos from a single channel. For example, if you wanted to find my best performing videos from the last 6 months, these would be your filter settings👇🏻

Copy-As-Prompt

We’ve now added a 4th action button to every idea detail page called “Create Prompt.”

Pressing this will reveal a script prompt that you can copy paste into ChatGPT, Claude or any other AI writing tool that will write a similar script to the outlier video you found.

This prompt will optionally include system instructions, as well as script specific instructions on the topic, hook, story structure, style and research facts.

Why did we add this prompt as an option in Sandcastles?

Our goal with Sandcastles is to build the most useful content tool in the world. Because of this, we don’t want to lock you into using our scriptwriting tools if you prefer other writing workflows.

A couple of power-tips on using copy-as-prompt:

• This script prompt is a great quick access starting point, but will not be better than custom built scriptwriting tools found in the Sandcastles Script tab

• Feel free to change the content facts at the bottom of the prompt if you want the script to feature different research points

Default Saved Searches

To help you find outliers faster, we’ve added two default Saved Filters into your Videos tab.

Saved Filters are presets that contain combinations of filter & sort settings.

For example, if you always wanted to look for videos from a specific watchlist, with outlier scores over 5x, with at least 500,000 views, posted in the last 60 days, sorted from highest to lowest views, you can save that combination as a preset so you don’t have to recreate it manually every time.

For all users, we’ve added Sandcastles Default and Sandcastles Exceptional. These are two sets of filters that always seem to find gold.

Improved Recommendation Engine & More Like This

We’ve made our recommendation engine much smarter.

When you’re browsing videos on the Videos Tab, click the “More Like This” button to surface similar videos to the one you liked.

The system will show you videos that tell similar stories, not just ones where the same keywords show up. This is particularly helpful if you’ve seen a style of video perform well, but want to find a different subject to use.

Search Personalization

The more you use Sandcastles, the better it’ll get at surfacing videos that are relevant to you. Based on what you search for and click on, we’ll learn your preferences and tailor results to your niche.

And we don’t use your data to train any models or make suggestions to other users — all of your data stays tied strictly to your account, and is only used to improve your experience.
